Adam Buxton’s BUG Returns, Plus BAF 2013 Guest Bonanza

By |

With just under two weeks to go until we announce the full programme for this year’s Bradford Animation Festival, we thought it was only fair that we rewarded your patience with some very special guest updates. Even if we do say so ourselves, the BAF and BAF Game programmes are looking pretty special and we can’t wait to share them with you in their entirety.

Over 5 days we’ll be presenting on stage interviews, events and workshops with a whole bunch of amazing guests: Australian animation legend ADAM ELLIOT in conversation with long time friend of the festival BARRY PURVES; artist, illustrator and filmmaker DAVE MCKEAN will be talking about his wonderful and varied career; we’ll be bringing ADAM BUXTON and animator CYRIAK together to share their love of music and animation in a special BUG show just for BAF, and while we’re at it we’ll also be delving into the world and work of award winning Czech animator MICHAELA PAVLATOVA.

BAF passes will be on sale on 17th September, but as a special treat BUG tickets are now on sale for £20. (Please note that this event will not be included in delegate passes and tickets will need to be purchased separately – everybody is welcome!)

Over in BAF Game corner, we’ll be in the company of industry legends and games studios as we take a look behind the scenes of Tomb Raider with Senior Art Director BRIAN HORTON, and explore the landscapes of Dishonored with Visual Design Director VIKTOR ANTONOV and welcome back TT GAMES for a second year to talk about LEGO Marvel: Super Heroes and help us build our knowledge of the delightful game series. (See what we did there?)

We’re also very pleased to report that STEVE LYCETT of Sumo Digital will be joining us to talk all things Moshi Monsters, along with all the incredibly talented guests we’ve already announced: WARREN SPECTOR, THE INDIE STONE, and TEAM 17.

BAF Game is set to be a blast, and BAF Game passes are on sale now so get yours while you can; we’ve got a feeling it’ll be a popular year!

This is just a small taste of what’s to come on 17th September when we announce the full programme. Keep your eyes on the BAF website, and follow us on Twitter and Facebook for all the up to date BAF news.

We can’t wait to celebrate our 20th birthday with all of you. See you at the festival!
