Bradford Digital Creatives 2024 Round-Up

It’s time to show you what our Digital Creative students have been up to this year.

We’re marking the end of 2024 with this special round-up of the Digital Creatives project and the artwork that has been co-created with exceptional artists in five schools across Bradford.

Belle Vue Girls Academy – Digital soundscape

This soundscape was co-created with digital artists and engineer Caro C, by students at Belle Vue Girls’ Academy. Find out more about Caro’s work with the Digital Creative project in our November blog post.

Caro said of the workshops: “I was pleasantly surprised by just how keen the students were to get stuck in and create powerful sound art. Each group brought their own unique style and approach, but the common thread was their passion and care for the world around them.”

Appleton Academy – Rats! Game

Bradford Alternative Provision Academy – Digitally manipulated images

These images were produced and manipulated by students at Bradford Alternative Provision Academy (BAPA) with digital artists Tom Martin and Ben Worth.

Philip Gillet, teacher at BAPA said: “Having professionals from two different roles really piqued the student’s interest and kept them engaged. All around, absolutely superb workshop.”

Carlton Bolling Academy – Stop-motion animation

A stop-motion animation planned, produced and edited by students at Carlton Bolling, with digital artist Arfaan Amini.

Lindsay Wilson, Deputy Headteacher at Carlton Bolling said: “Students have learnt a lot about digital creativity and have enjoyed the sessions.”
