Mammoth family fun at our Early Man half term

This February half term, we played host to free family activities and events inspired by the brand-new animated adventure Early Man.

Early Man is the new hit film from Aardman Animations, the makers of Wallace and Gromit and Shaun the Sheep. This February half term, the animated stars of the film took over the museum for a fantastic family extravaganza!

Between 10–18 February 2018, we ran a whole range of amazing activities for families: live and interactive animation shows, model-making workshops, and even catapult crafting to test out your design and engineering skills.

Keep reading for photos and animations from the whole event, including the giant flipbook made from pictures painted by our visitors in ‘Goona’s Mammoth Movies’ and the clay characters you created in ‘Hognob’s Model Making’. Can you spot yourself and your family in any of our snaps?
