It's always difficult to pick festival highlights with such a varied programme, but this year, two such moments of import were right there on day one.
They were the We Are Poets screening and Poetry Slam with Word Life, and the Screentalk with Barbara Winsdor—a most gracious, warm and thoroughly entertaining festival guest if ever there was one.
Of course, Jonny, our festival photographer, was there to snap it all up for posterity, and if there’s one photograph which must sit at the pinnacle of all festival photographs to follow, it’s this absolute corker starring our Head Projectionist Duncan McGregor, and the Queen of Carry On herself.
